Dr. James Purtill graduated from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1993. Dr. Purtill completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Purtill has three offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Specializing in the field of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Purtill is prepared to treat a wide range of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons, in either a non-surgical or surgical manner, resorting to surgery when all other treatment methods have been exhausted or ruled out. Additionally, Dr. Purtill is trained to diagnose a range of musculoskeletal conditions, such as fractures or sprains.
